Ready for pre-school?

Educational games are a great way to make learning fun, from pre-schoolers learning about turn-taking to new school starters practising spellings and numeracy. Whatever skills children are learning, the more fun they’re having the more likely they are to retain that knowledge, which helps make learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Associating learning with fun and positivity from a young age will help spark a passion for learning that children will carry with them throughout their school life.

Orchard Toys ethos of ‘Learning Made Fun’ is at the heart of everything they do, ensuring their games and jigsaws strike the perfect balance of education and fun – which they’ve been doing successfully for over 50 years. They work closely with educational advisors, teachers and children when designing their games and jigsaws, which ensures each one is age appropriate, educationally sound and, most importantly, fun.  Only once they are confident that it meets these standards does an Orchard Toys game earn their Teacher Tested stamp of approval.  It’s no wonder their games are loved by teachers, parents and children!

Chances are children will have no idea they’re learning something new, or brushing up on a skill, whilst playing games.  Whether it’s teaching them colour or shape recognition, or helping to develop their memory and matching skills, encouraging their observation skills, practicing their numbers or letters, or developing their understanding of the world – they’ll be entertained and having fun.

Key skills – numeracy, literacy

Counting can become part of everyday life teaching, for example, one for me, and one for you when sharing out snacks, and that learning can be reinforced with fun number games.

Reading – letters, words and spelling - really is at the heart of all learning.  It’s the key to unlocking all other subject areas.  Reading a good book is one of life's simple pleasures - it's so important that children can escape into new and wonderful worlds, stretch their imagination and learn about others.   Games can provide a fun and relaxed way to help children practice spelling and reading.

If you’re trying to conceive (TTC), you probably know that there are certain foods and nutrients that become especially important once you’re pregnant. But nutrition plays a vital role even when trying to conceive, much like laying a strong foundation before constructing a house.

Certain nutrients create that foundation by supporting egg and sperm health (yes, nutrition matters for both partners), hormone balance and creating a hospitable environment for a fertilized egg to implant. In fact, studies show that certain nutrients can help increase fertility and improve success rates for both natural conception and fertility treatments.

In other words, nutrition is a key player in the TTC journey, but getting the right nutrients in the right quantities can be tricky. That’s where supplements come in. Just as you’d take a multivitamin to fill in nutritional gaps for optimal health, fertility supplements can give you that extra nutrient boost.
