Baby's tiny feet are a work of art!

Imagine every little crease and crinkle of your newborn baby's tiny hands and feet preserved forever as a beautiful work of art!

Having casts taken of your baby’s hands and feet is the ultimate way to capture a magical time in your family’s life and when it comes to quality, nobody does it better than Wrightson and Platt. The world’s leading baby casting experts specialise in creating stunning pieces of sculpture, wall art and miniaturised jewellery for the world’s most discerning families.

Over the past 20 years, the London-based life-casting specialists have built a reputation and loyal following due to the amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail captured in their wide range of beautiful designs. Customers can choose from a range of products including full-sized casts in traditional bronze, Sterling silver or kiln-cast glass in a range of colours. The same little casts can also be used to create gorgeous wall panels in bronze or glass to adorn the nursery or Dad’s office wall. And their state-of-the-art miniaturisation service can make those little hands and feet even tinier to create beautifully detailed silver and gold jewellery so you can always keep your little one close!

The process starts with a casting appointment in the family home or maternity ward. During the appointment, the W&P team make the moulds of your baby’s hands and feet using skin-safe dental alginate which captures incredibly fine skin detail. The little moulds are then taken back to the company’s studio in southeast London where the master casts are poured in high quality plaster. From just one set of casts, their customers can then order from a wide range of designs.

As Managing Director Alison Martin explains: “Unlike other life-casting companies, we keep the master casts in our archive for up to 10 years. This means our families can come back and order surprise gifts for partners or grandparents, or even new sibling designs when a new baby arrives.”

Their long-established partnership with London’s Portland Hospital has introduced the company to a whole host of household names including royalty and A-list celebrities, but they won’t be naming any names; discretion is vital to their reputation, as Alison explains: “There’s always huge interest when the rich and famous have a new baby. We feel incredibly privileged to be invited into any family’s home at such a magical time and would never betray that trust, no matter who the client is but suffice to say we’ve handled some of the most high-profile babies in the world!”

However, some customers are very happy to talk about the experience: “The whole casting experience in my room at The Portland was a very happy one” says Tamara Beckwith “but nothing prepared me for the joy at receiving my baby’s bronze 2-day old feet. All these years later, I still marvel at all the little creases and how small she was. Just holding them in my hands takes me back to a wonderfully happy, special time.”

If you’re trying to conceive (TTC), you probably know that there are certain foods and nutrients that become especially important once you’re pregnant. But nutrition plays a vital role even when trying to conceive, much like laying a strong foundation before constructing a house.

Certain nutrients create that foundation by supporting egg and sperm health (yes, nutrition matters for both partners), hormone balance and creating a hospitable environment for a fertilized egg to implant. In fact, studies show that certain nutrients can help increase fertility and improve success rates for both natural conception and fertility treatments.

In other words, nutrition is a key player in the TTC journey, but getting the right nutrients in the right quantities can be tricky. That’s where supplements come in. Just as you’d take a multivitamin to fill in nutritional gaps for optimal health, fertility supplements can give you that extra nutrient boost.
